Drafts is a different kind of note taking app. In Drafts, text comes first – open the app and get a new, blank draft. Don’t get bogged down in a timeline to tweet or post to Facebook and App.net. Don’t tap through multiple screens to compose an email or SMS. Don’t navigate folders, create files and name them just to jot down a note or create a todo. Drafts is available for both iPhone and iPad.

Quick Capture

Launch Drafts and start typing. It’s that simple. No upfront decisions about titles, filenames or folders. Return to drafts later, and a new draft is ready.

Easy Storage, Search and Lightning Fast Sync

Not sure what to do with that text? Type it and leave Drafts - no saving, it will be there when you get back. Draft history works like a stack of paper with recent items on top. Full text searching is also available, and enable sync to keep multiple versions of Drafts (on both iPhone and iPad) in line. Organization is simple – Inbox for new drafts, archive for old ones – or “pin” drafts you want to easily access later.

Flexible Output

Send tweets to Twitter, post to Facebook, compose and send email, SMS/Messages, create calendar events – or save drafts to Dropbox or Evernote. You can also use “Open in” to export a draft to any other app installed which supports importing text files.

Email and Message Actions

Configure an unlimited number of custom email actions with predefined values for recipients, subject, body templates. Send in the foreground or background, and even use Markdown. URL Actions, the Action Directory and Workflow Automation

Download ready to use URL Actions from our Action Directory to integrate with a long list of popular apps and websites – including OmniFocus, Things, Tweetbot, Byword, Fantastical, Notesy and many more. Advanced users can create advanced URL scheme based actions as well. Looking to automate workflows on iOS? Markdown Support

Drafts supports Markdown, the structured markup language. If you write in Markdown, you can preview the HTML output, send it as a formatted HTML email or copy the HTML output to the clipboard for use in other apps. Advanced Markdown extensions such as footnotes and tables are supported as well.

Reminders Integration

Drafts can import reminders from the iOS Reminders app, allowing creation of drafts via Siri, or via the Mac OS X Reminders app (with iCloud). Drafts can also create reminders and lists in the Reminders app. Learn more

Themes, Fonts and Gestures

Light, Dark and Sepia themes, as well as over a dozen great font choices to customize Drafts’ appearance. On iPhone, swipe up or down from center toolbar to dedicate the full screen to reading, or browsing the draft/actions lists. On iPad, swipe left/right to hide show drafts/action panes.
